I designed these rings. The criss-cross on the side of the sapphire ring was very important to me. It adorns the finger like a trellis; it implies a certain movement, similar to a growing plant, meandering along your finger.
As an accessories product manager for Vivienne Westwood in London my job consisted of liaising with the designer on one end and the craftsmen at the other end: to make prototypes come to life - according to the high standards of the company. Every detail counts. There cannot be any compromise whatsoever on the looks of it. I enjoyed every day being so close to the production process.
